Ianthe Demos, Artistic Director

Ianthe Demos is a founding member and the Artistic Director of One Year Lease. With OYL, Ms. Demos has directed Mark Ravenhill's pool (no water), Clay Mcleod Chapman’s Teaser Cow, Eugene Ionesco’s The Bald Soprano, Ariel Dorfman’s Resistance Trilogy which includes Death and the Maiden, Widows, and Reader; Brendan Cowell’s Bed; Caridad Svich’s Iphigenia Crash Land Falls on the Neon Shell that Was Once her Heart (a rave fable); PHAEDRA x 3 which included Jean Racine’s Phèdre, Matthew Maguire’s Phaedra and Sarah Kane’s Phaedra’s Love; Jean Anouilh’s Antigone; Sophie Treadwell’s Machinal; John Osborne’s Look Back in Anger; August Strindberg’s Miss Julie; and Oresteia, translated and adapted from Aeschylus by Iason Demos and Yannis Papatheodorou. Ianthe was a resident director at Vassar College in 2012/2013, directing productions of Aristophanes' Lysistrata and Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice. In the fall of 2013 she will be directing Antigonick by Sophocles, translated by Anne Carson, at the Loeb Center in Boston. She is Vice President of CAMI Spectrum, a division of Columbia Artists Management.  Ianthe divides her time between Greece and New York City

Nick Flint, Associate Artistic Director

Nick recently directed Gary Henderson's Skin Tight at 59E59, Danny Mitarotondo’s Manmade Mistakes and Daniel Keene’s The Killing Room for OYL; and Jane Brodie’s Ride for Outhouse Theatre Company at 59E59.  He wrote and directed the short feature film Bridge, currently on the festival circuit and directed the short film Upstanding. As an actor, he has performed with the major Australian state theatre companies including Sydney Theatre Co. in The Shape of Things and Melbourne Theatre Co. in The Recruit. TV credits have included ongoing roles on the Australian dramas Home & Away, All Saints, Love Bytes.  Film credits include lead roles in the features Ned, The Tumbler, Regretting Fish by Brad Saville, as well as numerous shorts. New York theater credits include Teaser Cow, The Bald Soprano, Iphigenia Crash Land Falls..., Bed, and Death and the Maiden (NYC and Athens productions) for OYL; 967 Tuna with the Australia Project and Reasonable Doubt (NY Fringe Festival award) at Cherry Lane. He has performed as one of The Flying Karamazov Brothers and has trained extensively with the SITI Company.

Natalie Lomonte, Movement Director

Natalie began dancing in the womb. After studying in the BFA program at Marymount Manhattan College, she toured extensively with MOMIX, Pilobolus, and Parsons Dance. She danced with Liza Minelli in Sex and the City 2 and is an original cast member of Spider-Man on Broadway, where she currently serves as Associate Choreographer. This will be her second year teaching movement in the Musical Theater Summer Workshop at Fordam University. In the past year, Natalie has choreographed Skin Tight and pool (no water) with OYL and El amor en los tiempos del cólera with Repertorio Español.
