Jim Kane is an actor currently living in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, he came to the east coast to attend Drew University where he earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Classical Studies. Upon graduating, he moved to New York City and attended the Atlantic Theater Company Acting Conservatory. Most recently, Jim appeared in the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhl’s Dead Man’s Cell Phone at Playwright’s Horizons (directed by Anne Bogart). Jim trains regularly with Bogart’s SITI Company and, in 2007, worked with them on 365 Days/365 Plays, (directed by Barney O’Hanlon and J. Ed Azaria) at The Public Theatre. Other theater credits include: Hotel Oracle by Bixby Elliot (commissioned by Sum of Us Theater Co.), Candles to the Sun by Tennessee Williams (produced by New Mummer Group @ Actors Theatre of Louisville), Under Milkwood (directed by Darko Tresniak at The Williamstown Theatre Festival), The Good Thief, Hellhoundon My Trail, Waiting for Lefty, and One for the Road. Jim can be seen as Wes Stacker in the online hit television series The Leif Garrison Project (www.leifgarrison.com). With OYL, he has appeared in Death and the Maiden and PHAEDRA x 3.
