Sladjana Vujovic (playwright) is an award-winning, published author of stage plays and short stories, as well as an acclaimed theatre director and actress.
Born in Montenegro (Former Yugoslavia), she lives in London, writes in English, and translates between English and several Balkan languages, including Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin.
Her myriad writing credits include The Tender Mercies, winner of the Fringe First prize at the 1993 Edinburgh Festival. Hunt, commissioned and produced by Kazzum Theatre Company in London; A Place in the Sun, first produced by Arts World Productions; Romance D'Carnaval, a stage script for a dance-drama commissioned and produced by ArtLAT and written with Myriam Ojeda Patino; Butterfly Effect, first produced by Mania Productions; and The Boat, a short story, published by Sodobnost in Slovenia. |
